For sale is a very nice Vintage Penn Senator 10/0 Medium Heavy Big Game Trolling Reel. The reel was manufactured in the USA and is a Pat D reel. Cosmetically the reel is very clean with no rust, oxidation or other blemishes. The black side plates are intact with no chips, scratches or cracks.

Mechanically the reel appears to be in very good condition. The clicker is strong, the free spool lever is tight and works well, the star drag works and the extra-large counter-balanced power handle spins freely and smoothly.

Penn advertises the reels to have aircraft quality ball bearings for smooth action. Hard steel driving gears and stainless steel pinion gears.

The reel has the standard rod bracket, harness lugs and forward rod brace. The brass spool has braided line on it but I dont know the strength or how much there is. This is a very nice example of these big, sturdy reels, which havent been made for a number of years, from a company known for producing high quality fishing equipment.
