EXCELLENT Vintage Lot of Penn Conventional Reels 2x Peerless #9 & 1x #285

This vintage lot includes three Penn conventional reels: two Peerless #9 and one #285. These reels were made in the United States and are highly sought after by saltwater fishing enthusiasts.

All three reels are in excellent working condition and are perfect for collectors or for use on your next fishing trip. The reels feature a classic design that showcases the quality craftsmanship of Penn.

Up for sale are 3 used Penn Conventional reels. Included in this sale are two (2) Penn Peerless #9 Level Wind Reels and one (1) Penn 285 Reel that are all in EXCELLENT Working condition and EXCELLENT Cosmetic condition. I expect that these are reels for your collection or FOR SHOW, they are also WORKING REELS but their true value is as FOR SHOW REELS. All of the reels are in good working order and all function are working correctly. The heavy-duty clickers function properly, all of the star drags are in good working order, all of the eccentric levers release correctly and the spools spin freely when disengaged.

The non-handle side bearings all work properly, the spools are in great condition, the side plates are free of cracks, and the stands are sound. I will add some specifications for each reel below with more information about wear or damage.

Penn Peerless Level Wind 9 Reel with Orange Handle. No boat rash at all.

The level wind mechanism works well, the line guide moves back and forth freely with no slippage at all. Sealed oil ports for quick, easy lubrication.

Chrome plated brass exposed metal components for corrosion resistance. Counterbalanced handle with orange torpedo knob. Dark Burgundy side plates are free of cracks and still shine like a new reel.

Line Capacity: 275 yards of 15-pound test line. Gear Ratio: 3.4:1. Penn Peerless Level Wind 9 Reel with Green Marbleized Handle. Counterbalanced handle with black torpedo knob. Black side plates are free of cracks.
