Penn 716Z Spinning Reel

A vintage, Penn 716z, spinning reel that was just serviced. I totally pulled all apart, all parts cleaned thoroughly and a light coat of Penn blue grease was put back on all moving parts. I feel a 20.00 service to clean my reels is factored in as well in the price, most don't do that at all.

You wont get one of my reels that is not fully functional. There is some paint loss on the reel in various spots, but nothing major, just light rash. I did replace the spool, new one.

The drag knob has a tiny crack on it as pictures show, bit it does not bother the way it functions and is not all the way through. The labels on the rotor are readable and intact, the 716z badge is nice.

All internal gears, bearings, springs are all fully functional and work great. The reel spins freely when you let go of the handle, both ways.

Bail snaps as it should, antireverse works nice. The handle is in great shape. I do take a lot of pride in my stuff, I get it the way I would want to receive it.

Is a very nice reel to fish or collect. Just needs a new home and line put on it.
