Vintage Penn 714 Ultra Sport Greenie Spinning Reel

Vintage, Penn 714, Ultra sport, Greenie Spinning reel. 1960's era, and its condition mechanically and cosmetically ARE VERY NICE. This reel has been stored in an heated room for a few years now. I fully disassembled it, cleaned thoroughly, and re-lubed with Penn blue grease and applied a coat of Cals drag grease to the drag stack. I consider the cleaning and relube a 20 dollar service alone. A lot of people don't do that.

This reel is ready to go. This reel spins for ever when you let go of the handle, is unreal how smooth it is. If I didnt have one, I would never sell this one. The drag knob is clean, not cracked. All gears, bearing, springs, spool shaft, and all internals were near perfect and like new.

The drag snaps very smooth. The decals on this reel are clean, crisp, and shine like hell.

None of the hardware is stripped or corroded. Only areas with any paint loss are the foot, and one area on the side cover, few skuffs throughout, very minor. The spool is near perfect, no damage or corrosion. The spool shaft is straight, there is no rubbing of the spool on the inside of the rotor. This reel should be in an collection, but could be fished as well. This reel is VERY CLEAN. All picture show condition, I always take the max amount of pictures I can to show condition.
